Islam Meghari wanted a better life for his wife and daughter, so in 2018, he gave up a medical career and left Saudia Arabia to move to Canada. He assumed his wife and daughter would soon join him, but five years later, he’s still waiting for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to process his family’s application while they live in Jordan.
