TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – Jan. 3, 2013) – Caledonia Mining Corporation (“Caledonia” or the “Company”) (TSX:CAL)(OTCQX:CALVF)(AIM:CMCL) confirms that a Notice of Special Meeting of Shareholders, a Proxy and Information Circular and a Proxy form (collectively, the “Meeting Materials“) have been distributed by post to Caledonia’s shareholders of record registered as at December 20^th, 2012. The Meeting Materials relate to the proposed reduction of Stated Capital of Caledonia’s common shares and the proposal that the issued and outstanding common shares in the capital of the Company be consolidated on the basis of one (1) post-consolidation common share for every ten (10) common shares currently issued and outstanding. Shareholder approval is required for both of these actions.
